Overview
EllieMD sells peptides to everyday customers for human use, including products meant to be injected or taken by patients. It markets them as real pharmacy medicine and tells customers they are not research grade.
These peptides are not approved for sale as medicine for people. A legitimate state-licensed compounding pharmacy is not allowed to sell them to consumers for human consumption right now. They cannot be sold as patient medicine.
What is being sold is research-grade material. Research-grade compounds are not medicine. Marketing and selling them for human consumption — while calling them pharmacy-grade and denying they are research grade — is the issue.
That harm and deception shows up in three ways: (1) the peptides are not approved for sale, and a legitimate compounding pharmacy cannot sell them to consumers for human use; (2) they are not labeled as research grade / not for human use — customers are told the opposite, that they are getting pharmaceutical-grade medicine; (3) they are sold through a Brand Partner / multi-level marketing program on top of online checkout — a potential pyramid scheme.
Customers pay, then use these products on their bodies believing they are getting real medicine. Public complaints already describe serious harm, including ER visits and hospitalizations. We document the marketing, packaging, licenses, and complaint record so regulators, newsrooms, and payment networks can evaluate it. We are not a court or a law firm.
Why we track it. The sale itself is the problem: ineligible peptides sold as 503A pharmacy medicine, denied as research grade, and pushed through a Brand Partner / MLM layer that is a potential pyramid scheme.
